During our successful Annual General Meeting last night, all Members who had helped in any way, were thanked for their efforts. We were very fortunate that all the excellent standing Committee were re-elected, Thank you all so much.We explained next years plans to our Members. These include trips to Gloucester on April 27th and “Tyntesfield” on July 6th.We shall have a Summer Tea Party on July 15th,Harvest Service 1st October and Supper 11th October,also a Christmas Lunch. Anyone who has not yet Booked for this years Christmas Lunch on Monday 12th December ,1:00 for 1:30 please contact the Treasurer or President urgently.
Two Jumble Sales are held,the first being on April 1st.Our Annual Members Show will be on the first Saturday in September. We shall of course have our Regular Monthly Meeting during the year in the Community Hall with a Guest Presenter. The first evening commences at 7:00pm on Monday January 16th with Malcolm Meadows and “The Music of William Walton and the Garden on Ischia”. So unusually we shall commence with music and then go on to the Images. We have Eight Speakers during the year, we shall not be in the Community Hall in April, July or October. All the Speakers will be going on at the start of the Meeting.Please check the Calendar for Events etc.
Any new Members would be very welcome to attend, our yearly Subscription now due, is at this time £7:50.Our last event this Diamond Jubilee Year is our Christmas Lunch, we are very much looking forward to enjoying “Sisters Catering ‘s meal” ! The entertainment will consist of various items including, Quiz’s, Poems, Jokes and some Carol Singing. We have sent a letter off to the “North Pole”, we will have to wait and see if Santa can fit us in to his ,So Busy Schedule !!
