Open to all,Garden Question Time

Our next meeting at The Community Hall at 7:00pm,Monday 20th June will begin with a “Gardeners Question Time”. This is open to anyone to attend because none of us are exempt from Problems in our Gardens ! We have an Outstanding panel of experts, who have involvement since our beginnings in 1956.George Smith who attended our first Meeting, our First Secretary and a Life Member Brian Savegar and his brother Tony Savegar. They have amassed a vast range of knowledge and tips since the 1300’s ( Oops wrong date sorry ) !

We shall have a Raffle and also enjoy a biscuit and drink once the talking finishes and our business meeting starts. No entry fee but why not join and enjoy all the benefits available. Presently £7:50 a year for membership we enjoy Monthly meetings with Speakers, Outings, Summer Tea Party, Jumble Sales, Harvest Service, Harvest Supper, Christmas Lunch and Party. We also hold an Annual Members Show, Free Entry, on the first Saturday in September at The Community Hall. We have over 400 entries , approximately 100 Classes and entrants aged 0-95 !

Congratulations to our Members who helped to create the  recent,excellent Flower Festival at St Teilo’s Church. Along with everyone else involved it was a real pleasure to visit.

We shall be taking our Turn to provide Refreshments, Tea, Coffee at St Teilo’s Church on the morning of Saturday 27th August. This is hoped to be a regular event, shared between various Community Groups.

Diamond Tea Party and Tenby trip

Beautiful Tenby provided wonderful weather for our outing yesterday. Some of us were even searching for some shade, whilst relaxing and enjoying the marvellous views. We hope everyone had a great time, including the guests who accompanied us. Personally we had some lovely food, a quiet pint and a good helping of Pembrokeshire health treatment !

Our next Outing on Thursday 7th July also has some seats available, please contact our Social Secretary if you are interested. Departing 9:00am,travelling to Aberaeron , where we shall have some Lunch. Then we shall visit Llanerchaeron Gardens and the House  built by John Nash .

On Saturday 25th June we are having a Members Diamond Jubilee Tea Party. Held at the Secretary and Husbands garden or inside if the weather does not play ball ! We have applied with the appropriate forms for nice weather, unlike last year ! We are going to bring a Chair along for ourselves, also Members are providing from the Secretary’s list, food items. The VPA shall be providing Strawberries and Cream ! also various drinks. If you wish, feel free to bring along your own Alchoholic beverage etc !
