Much loved member Leaving

The inspirational Lady that is Tui Clapp is returning back to Somerset to be nearer to her family.Where she and her late husband Roy farmed for approximately 50 years at his families farm. She has been our Chairperson and President along with Roy and past County Chairperson and worked tirelessly on our behalf.Always a very involved committed member ,with a kindly ,caring ,thoughtful, intelligent word for so many people along the way.We shall miss her greatly but wish her many happy days enjoying the air of the County she worked so hard in.Being a former “Land Girl” she certainly new what “Hard Graft” was ,she has been an inspiration to so many.

Tui put so much into our Community ,being a “Mainstay” of so many voluntary organisations. There are very many people benefitted at Nevill Hall Hospital having their cup of Tea/Coffee etc through her and many others endless hours given so willingly. It certainly made a vast difference to our area when Tui and Roy retired to Abergavenny. We count ourselves extremely fortunate to have been able to learn from them .Also for them to have been our friends,Best Wishes from everyone Tui.

Very Informative Meeting

Mr Will Brimecombe gave us many ideas how to cheaply make various items.Simply by re-using materials that had been discarded or natural materials that were suitable to make into Christmas type Wreaths etc.He urged us to use our eyes when out walking and collect items like Fir Cones,Old Conkers and their cases, Withies etc which can then be used to construct various items.

He constructed a “Bee Friendly” house from an old drinks bottle and “Pampas Grass” and other ideas to help our wildlife and Insects to survive. He certainly inspired us to get involved and start constructing,Thank You.
