We wish all Members and their familys a Happy,Merry,Wealthy and Healthy Christmas and New Year.We will also be thinking about Members past and their families .We all had a lovely start to our “Festive Season” with our Christmas Party and Lunch. As usual “Sisters Catering” provided a beautiful meal,Thank You.Mr John Sheen entertained us very well, with the tales of “A Christmas Cracker”.
We would like to wish Life Member Geoff Slater, a very Happy 90th Birthday on Saturday 20th December. Many thanks to our Committee and all Members who have contributed during the last successful year of our Village Produce Association.SEE YOU IN 2015 !
We have had the sad news that Mrs Betty Gollop a very long serving Member has passed away.Along with her late Husband, who also like Betty had served on our Committee .She was always when able with her health, one of the first to volunteer ,she served on many different groups in our Community, benefitting so many people who needed assistance and support. Her humanity and kindness in helping others will be remembered for a long time.
Betty even though suffering greatly with her health, was behind one of our Stalls at our Jumble Sale in October,as usual with a smile on her face.Last Saturday she was at a fete at Mardy Park Resource Centre supporting them.
Our World has lost an inspirational Lady,we offer our deepest condolences to the Reverend Michael and family. Also to the very many other friends and aquaintances who will be mourning at this time.
